Let’s start our new week with another cultural trip on Majorcan territories. We all know how important it is, from a cultural perspective, this part of Spain’s history: the Arab culture.
Undoubtedly, this culture and civilization left an impressive footprint over Spain, which has been so stalwart that has lived on to our days, changing itself into a formidable cultural heritage. One of the most relevant traces in terms of national identity, the Arab Baths of Palma are one of a reduced number of archeological remains from the age of Muslim domination of the Balearic Islands.
Situated on Calle Can Serra, number 7, you can find this lordly and impressive-looking vestige opened for all visitors. It is assembled of a central hall, surrounded by columns. Altogether, this formation hosted the steam baths and belonged to a private residence.
Impressively, both an authentic “caldarium” and a “tepidarium” have survived the flow of time! If think about visiting Palma, or you already are in Palma, we totally advise you to take a few moments in order to visit this remarkable piece of history!
It is only a 20-minute walk from our hotel, so, you can’t miss it!
